Teenage Engineering TP-7
Plasticity - Maya - Unreal Engine 5.2
This project started as a bit of modeling practice in Maya, but I quickly realized I was out of my league with the hard surface details on this device.  I got it close, but I wasn't happy with how things were turning out.  So I started looking for alternatives.

I have worked with CAD models for years, but mainly on the rendering side of things.  I'd never considered actually learning how to model in CAD, until hearing about the program Plasticity.  I downloaded the free trial, and in a mere few hours, I was well on my way to modeling the entire device in the program.
With the model done, I returned to Maya to flesh out the labels, text, and other minor details.  Finally, I ported it all over to Unreal for some camera and lighting work.  Everything here is captured straight from the Path Tracer in Unreal.
Here are the model surfaces in Plasticity.
